Dark Side
I spent the weekend doing hunts. One was was Gorean themed and the other was Edgar Allan Poe themed. I set up another house to express my darker side since I was feeling the gothic inspiration.
I enjoyed putting this together.
While we were searching for the hunt items, Talis and I came across a store called "Mad Pea" which had some great quirky knick knacks and some sort of game. Their overall theme seemed to be circus inspired. Anyway, they had a tarot deck there so I took a moment to get a reading.
[2010/05/23 15:57] MP Tarot Celtic Cross Spread: Cups 4: Contrarily, the stillness in the four cups represents stagnation, a status quo in a relationship that brings dissatisfaction and boredom. A man sitting under a tree with three cups is offered a fourth by a hand from a cloud. This is the "grass is greener" card. The relationship, once so fresh and exciting, is no longer moving or changing or growing.
[2010/05/23 15:57] MP Tarot Celtic Cross Spread: swords12: Knight of Swords - Travel by air.
[2010/05/23 15:57] MP Tarot Celtic Cross Spread: Sun: Simply one of the best, if not the best, cards in the Tarot. The Sun is a most welcome card and a signal of very happy, joyous times. This card can represent holidays, good news around children or perhaps news or the conception or birth of a much wanted baby
[2010/05/23 15:57] MP Tarot Celtic Cross Spread: Wands 14: King of Wands - The planning of a great trip, the idea for some grand new career, being motivated to go into politics or take charge. Depending where it is in the spread, it can indicate that the Querent has decided to take command, to overthrow the old with his new, bold ideas.
[2010/05/23 15:57] MP Tarot Celtic Cross Spread: swords14: King of Swords - Tossing out a new idea, getting thoughts on paper, brainstorming. The ability to see problems objectively and find new and better solutions.
[2010/05/23 15:57] MP Tarot Celtic Cross Spread: Wands 8: A lot of things are going to be happening fast, and the Querent is going to revel in and handle all of them. This will likely include trips - and the Querent will want to drive or fly him/herself, likely. Fast. No need to slow down or be impatient, with this card, you can really move, change, do.
[2010/05/23 15:57] MP Tarot Celtic Cross Spread: Death: Without a doubt it is this card that causes most fear in a reading and yet it rarely, if ever, symbolizes actual death, more a time of absolute endings and absolute beginnings. Whilst The Death card can represent rather shocking or unexpected events or changes, they usually clear the way for a brand new start and a greater value for life itself. Out with the old and in with the new, a time of transformation is another way of looking at this card.
[2010/05/23 15:58] MP Tarot Celtic Cross Spread: Pentacles12: Knight of Pentacles - Travel on foot, hiking, walking, cycling.
[2010/05/23 15:58] MP Tarot Celtic Cross Spread: Cups 5: The Querent is obsessing over what is lost, rather than being glad for what they still have. The Querent might be feeling disappointed in someone for not living up to their expectations, making them blind to the person's good qualities. Or the Querent themselves did something they now regret, and they just can't get past it.
[2010/05/23 15:58] MP Tarot Celtic Cross Spread: Wheel: When The Wheel of Fortune appears it heralds a new cycle in life, good luck and fortune. it is fate that has brought this into your life rather than your own doing. This card heralds an end to current problems and rewards for past efforts.
