That's a sweet ride.

Well the rest of my night wasn't as bad as the day started out. Tess, Midare and I went and looked at random shops again. This time we kind of went to a shopping district ... cause I found some car on SLX and wanted to look at the full store.

It gave me an excuse to drive around the district. Rode around on the ground first with Tess behind me, then we took to the skies and zipped through the buildings in hover-bike mode. The motorcycle is sweet man... seriously.

I tried out a few cars. The first one was a roadster. It wasn't bad, kind of my style but it wasn't THE one. The second car I tried, I'm not even sure what to call it. It was hilarious but totally not my style.

The silver car I wound up buying in the end. Now THAT is my style.

Tsam had me over at Tera today and I got to see the new drow build. It looks pretty good. I got Fibber a present as a thanks and Shock is working on giving it new textures. So sweet, it should look pretty good in the end.

I'll check it out again once it's on the ground.

Bad Days are Bad.

My day was fucked. Right from the very start. It's getting better though. Hopefully it'll end on a good note tonight and I won't feel as bitter.

I was kind of cranky last night as well. Was tired. Although Tess and I (later joined by the AFK Midare) went shopping a bit before bedtime and we had a lot of fun at the motorcycle shop. There was a gacha machine there that gave out mini bikes, as well as a prize chair that gave out little bikes too. They're actually really cute.

I bought these little place-mat things that rez food. A really fun thing for the kitchen. It was a little bit expensive, but totally worth it I think.

I wound up buying two motorcycles because I couldn't decide between them. I gotta say that I really like the quality of their work. The bikes have lots of color options, size options, lets you adjust your position on the bike, has a hover mode... boat, ground mode and cruise control. Also sounds, particles, and yeah they're pretty complex and under $L1,000! Amazing.

I wonder what the weekend will hold.
Hm.

Skittles. Taste the rainbow?

I was at the office today and I am very tired. SL seems to have crapped out so it may very well be that I'm going to bed early tonight. I'm addicted to gacha machines. Seriously. I love the little toys that come out of them.

So Tess was dressed in very bright colors yesterday which inspired Midare and I to try and follow suit. It was sort of humorous how hard we struggled to match the style.

She pulls it off very naturally.

I don't think Midare got quite as bright as Tess.

Right before SL crapped out Midare took me to this 8-bit game place where it was kinda built to work like the Mario game, haha. It was pretty fun.

We went to the GYC tonight while Shock was DJing again. Stayed for a little bit before scampering off to go get more gacha prizes.

Of course I was so tired today that I burnt the crap out of my food.

Those are potatoes. And they are burnt to hell.
I set off the fire alarm because I'm that awesome.

A little Asian Today.

Today was mostly just spent chilling out... before we went on a massive shopping spree. I'll talk more about it tomorrow but for now I have to head to bed.

One of the places that we went to today had some nice hair styles, so I wound up buying something for myself... which Tess had said would look great with a kimono... so I bought the same kimono that Riz has. Then Tess said we looked like the creepy twins from the Fatal Frame game, hah!

I need to stop going to bed so late.

Out in the Country

Yesterday I was working on the start of the second Wonderland Scene box. I purchased these wonderful "Anywhere Doors" that create a direct teleport point between the two doorways as long as it's in the same sim.

The door to the second box is in the Bunny Breeding box near the white rabbit. I thought it was fitting. Just look at the little door, yay little door.

I figure that the box can be a good place for us to play with our breakfast shooters and I found these awesome sculpties.

The other scene that I was working on was a mirror room. The door is in the bedroom of my sky-box-house.

I really like the blend of white and red.

Tess was dressed up in a " spring" outfit today. That's how she described it to me. So it inspired me to put together a matching outfit. It took me almost an hour because I have like no brown boots or belts. Hehee, but uh problem solved.

We went to this field place that Wesley took me late one night. I sort of felt it was the best match for our outfits. Heh heh. Apparently the guy who made the first field made a second one and Tess was able to find it. The only problem is that the second one jacked up my hair so I had to switch to a second hairstyle. I like the desolate feel of those fields.

Today was Shock's birthday. I hope he had a good evening.
I've got to try my absolute best to make it into the office tomorrow morning...

So bedtime.

Build is 95% complete.

I haven't posted in a few days because I've been very focused on the build. I've got to say though, we're pretty much done. There's just a few small projects that I'm working on.

The forest came out pretty good I think. I kind of wish I could script a little better because I'd like for glowing spots to show up as people walk through it. But I can't seem to find any sort of scripting references for anything like that ... so I'm shit out of luck for now. That and I don't think I'd be able to handle heavy duty scripting right now.

Midare made some nice crystal trees for the white side of the forest. The waterfall took me forever. Forever. The first ten or so waterfalls I trashed because they looked like crap. I finally got the latest version of it working. When the outside was finally done, I was ready to rip heads off and beat some faces in. Was very frustrated and tired. Which was probably a bad time to start trying to build the cave.

I wound up trashing the first version of the cave when Zal saw it and wasn't impressed. I was so frustrated that I was ready to just trash the entire island. He managed to calm me down before I went defcon 5 on the land. I headed off to bed only to crawl back to the computer to lay out the new idea because I was struck with some inspiration. I have to say that I think the second version came out better and Zal seems to like it too.

It has three levels to it and the top one has the most sparklies I think. I have to go back in there and build some platforms so that things can be climbed on, but other than that I think we're pretty much done.

This was the first weekend where pretty much everyone was online. Haha, we kind of had an impromptu dress up moment. Lucas was flitting around dressed as a demon, and then Tali changed, Zal changed... Tess did, so I followed suit.

I always like seeing how people dress when we're doing the same theme because I think that personalities really come through in the differences.

I haven't seen Nef in a long time so it was good to see her this weekend. I like the look that she's currently sporting.

Just a few small projects left...

Avatar & Island Progress

Avatar came out on DVD today and I bought it at the grocery store when I went to pick up food for the rest of the week(end). The day was split between work, watching the movie on repeat in the background (I'm up to 3 times now) and working on the island.

There's still an issue with the sim line. Talis made a good suggestion today to make a river where the sim line is so that it hides the stupid mess of a white line when you look at it. But the two islands didn't look connected then if the river went all the way through, so we're just going to have to use ground cover for part of it.

We flattened down the area where the mountain used to be in the Yama region in Dragonfly. It's now got some hills and flower fields ... and the fish hut. We figured that we may as well create a little bit of an atmosphere without making it too complicated.

Midare and I are still butting heads. Today it was over the trees. Tess had the perfect expression for this situation. I figured that we should get Dragonfly settled, set and then resume working on the new island.

Mad Ninjaz meets Dragonfly.

I worked remote today, got as much done as I could... didn't stop until after midnight. Anyway. So most of the day was spent chilling out. It's a Wednesday so we headed over to the GYC to listen to some tunes but the stream was down so we just hung out for a bit.

Midare looks super smug in this picture where Shock is sitting on his lap. There weren't any pink foxes this time around. I mostly just zoned out on the railing while I caught up on emails. Pesky work.

Afterwards we went hair shopping for a bit with one of Shock's buddies, some spiffy looking stallion. I got some new hair, most of it was fairly inexpensive. Tess came along too and she's got some nice landmarks.

Earlier in the day I was just chilling out at home when I got this message:
[2010/04/21 15:11] Second Life: This region is being moved to a new location. Please take a landmark if you do not already have one and teleport away now. Thank you!

LAWL. I ran for a random shop and just chilled there until I thought it was safe to go back. We didn't actually head back till after the shopping at which point Tess and I donned work clothes and went about trying to make the islands look like they were one land mass at the very least.

I'm having some trouble with the sim-line. There seems to be some phantom reflection of the edge that I can't get rid of. I only see it on part of the land though and Tess couldn't seem to see it at all, so maybe I'm just going crazy?

I still have to work to blend the two land masses together better and rework the YAMA region on dragonfly. I had asked Midare to come and work on the mountain...

I put down a cone to show him the basic size of the mountain and what we needed to have done and gave him some vague direction on what we needed teraformed...

We had a bit of a spat right before logging off SL today as we're butting heads regarding the mountain (not surprising at all). Anyway, I'm going to have to um... do a bulk of the work tomorrow or something.

For now, I go catch a nap.

Babies & Balloons.

This morning Lucas sent me a present and guess what it was! It was a baby orc! Thank youuu, Lucas! I like how it's in a basket. I carried it around with me while exploring the Fantasy Fair at Dark Realms It's an event to generate funds for cancer research.

One of the things that I got for free while wandering around the fair was a pretty red balloon. It had a cute animation in it. I carried it around for awhile... was fairly amused.

This cracked me up...

Bunny Log!

Today was spent cataloging the bunnies and figuring out which ones I should attempt to breed together. OCD hit pretty bad and I wound up having to record all my bunnies... and I do mean ALL of my bunnies.

So I went through and took pictures of all of them... and then made icons of the pictures so that I'd be able to use them when I'm showing which bunnies are set to breed together. Yeah, I know. I have some issues. ROFL. Anyway! I thought, what better way to record all the bunnies than to make another blog for specifically that reason! So here it is. The bunny log.

INSILICO : Riz & Ry

The city that I did my red panda pictures in is called INSILICO and I really like the place especially when I get to look at it from the rooftops of the tall buildings. The lag was better today so I was able to bump my draw distance up to 500 and still manage to move around okay. I'm sure that it looks amazing from the ground too and I should probably spend some time walking around on the streets, but I haven't done that yet. I'm not sure why. I guess I could say that I usually find reasons to go visit the city randomly.

http://slurl.com/secondlife/INSILICO/189/183/3602

Today was a relatively lazy afternoon. Spent most of the morning chilling out and then in the afternoon got ready for the Masquerade ball at Ravenhurst. Attended the event for a little while before I called it day. Sometimes I like it when it's quiet.

Furry Fun: Photoshoot with Mad Ninjaz

This weekend a few of us were around to take pictures in the theme that Zal picked out. It was neat to see everyone in their fursonas. I think that it was a very neat exploration of personalities.

We started out with Zal who did something tribal. First we tried to go to a jungle area that we visited a long time ago but it didn't seem to have enough trees so we went to this lost world place. I liked the water and some of the ruins. It may be a good place to revisit to do more tribal themed images. This is my favorite from the set of Zal pictures because I liked the semi-aggressive pose with the spear. It's kind of like, "I dare you to mess with me."

We looked around at a few different places before Midare found a nice stadium. It fit well with Tali's Sporty Skunk fursona! Her AO was great for this because it had some nice energy to it. Sports is a nice idea for a theme. This is the image that I liked best from the set of Talis images because I thought it was the best representation of that free spirit that I've seen in her from time to time.

Tess had a pretty good idea where she wanted to go for her pictures. The shop was really cute. There was a teddy bear store down the lane where we found a one prim panda. Tessie makes such a cute kitty. She changed her fur to orange after seeing that most of us had black and white avatars. Haha. I liked this image best from the set that I took.

Midare found the area where he wanted to take pictures in while I was taking care of some other stuff. It took awhile to rez in but this place was actually kinda cool. The train tracks and such kind of reminded me of the Sherlock Holmes movie that came out recently. He mentioned that he liked the globe and when I saw it, I have to agree that it's pretty awesome. This is probably my favorite image from the set though the light from the end of the tunnel looks pretty awesome in most of the other shots.

I knew that I wanted to do my photos in some sort of city. Midian City was the first place that came to mind but after having roleplayed there I know that they don't allow furries ... soo I didn't want to get ejected! Then I remembered the sort of futuristic grunge-city that I visited a long time ago and thought that might be perfect. The only problem was that the lag made it near possible to move, haha. But then again, I had my draw distance up to around 400. Regardless, I like the city a lot. It'd be fun to do another photoshoot there... if my computer could handle it.

The rest of the images can be found here, uploaded to the different sections. I'm not sure what the next theme will be, but there's lots of ideas to choose from. In the meantime it may be a good idea for me to look for some more poses.
